Bayou Bon Vivant, the festival once called Bayou Boogaloo, brings Cajun food and New Orleans music to Town Point Park each May. 2027 dates TBA.

Last checked Oct. 19, 2026. This page is updated each year. Facts come from Norfolk Festevents, which runs the festival.

Bayou Bon Vivant turns Town Point Park into a three-day New Orleans party each May, with Cajun bands, crawfish, beignets and an arts market of New Orleans crafters on the downtown Norfolk waterfront. The 2027 dates had not been announced when this page was last checked. The 2026 festival ran Friday to Sunday, May 15-17. Watch festevents.org for next year’s dates and tickets.

Longtime Norfolk festivalgoers know it as the successor to the Bayou Boogaloo, the Festevents “Music and Cajun Food Festival” that ran at Town Point Park in late June as recently as 2019. By 2023 the Cajun festival carried the Bayou Bon Vivant name and had moved to May.
