The schools and their schedules

The VHSL uses rSchoolToday’s Arbiter system for every high school’s schedule. Norfolk Public Schools links each one:

School Schedules, scores and teams
Booker T. Washington High School Arbiter
Granby High School Arbiter
Lake Taylor High School Arbiter
Maury High School Arbiter
Norview High School Arbiter

Granby and Norview also post athletics on their own rSchoolToday sites, granbyhs.rschoolteams.com and norviewhs.rschoolteams.com.

Eighth graders can play on their zoned high school’s junior varsity football team under a new middle school season format, the division says.

Tickets

From Norfolk Public Schools Athletics:

  • Tickets go on sale one hour before game time on the GoFan app.
  • No cash sales.
  • The number of tickets is capped, and sales do not reopen once the cap is reached.
  • For football, ticket sales end at the end of the third quarter, and no one is let in with a ticket or pass during the fourth quarter.

Buy early on the app if you expect a big crowd.

The clear bag rule

Since Oct. 1, 2026, every spectator at a Norfolk Public Schools athletic event must use a clear bag, under the division’s clear bag procedure.

Allowed:

  • Clear plastic bags up to 16 by 16 by 8 inches
  • Clear drawstring bags
  • Small clutches up to 5 by 7 by 3/4 inches
  • Diaper bags and medical or ADA items, subject to inspection

Not allowed: backpacks, even clear ones, and non-clear drawstring or tote bags.

Sportsmanship

The division suspends players who fight for at least 30% of that sport’s games, and players who leave the bench to join an altercation for at least 20%. It works with the Positive Coaching Alliance on sportsmanship.

Playoffs

After the regular season come the VHSL region and state playoffs. Brackets and dates are posted on the VHSL website. Scores from Norfolk games are on our scoreboard.

What this means for you

  • Download GoFan before you leave home; there are no cash sales at the gate.
  • Bring a clear bag, or nothing.
