Hampton Roads residents pay $12.50 at the Virginia Zoo on 11 days in November, starting Sunday, down from $20 for adults. Book online and bring proof of address.
The Virginia Zoo is cutting general admission to $12.50 for Hampton Roads residents on 11 days in November. The first is Sunday.
The new Community Days price applies to adults and children alike. A regular ticket costs $20 for anyone 12 and older and $17 for children 2 to 11, the city announced Friday. Children under 2 get in free.
That saves $7.50 on each adult ticket and $4.50 on each child’s. Two adults and two children would pay $50 instead of $74.
The dates
Community Days run on these days, according to the zoo’s November calendar:
| Day | Date |
|---|---|
| Sunday | Nov. 1 |
| Tuesday | Nov. 3 |
| Saturday | Nov. 7 |
| Wednesday | Nov. 11 |
| Saturday and Sunday | Nov. 14-15 |
