19 breakfast places and coffee shops inside Norfolk city limits, from Ghent and Colley Avenue to downtown, Granby Street and Military Highway.
Last checked 2026-10-20. Refreshed every three months.
Norfolk’s coffee shops gather downtown around Granby and Main streets and in Ghent near West 21st Street and Colley Avenue. Breakfast spreads wider: diners in Ghent, pancake houses on Granby Street and East Little Creek Road, and 24-hour chains near Military Highway.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Norfolk’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on 2026-10-20. We added coffee shops and breakfast places found in the Virginia Department of Health inspection records only where the place’s own site gives a Norfolk address. Six places with no website stay on the list because the health department inspected them in 2026. We left out Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagels, whose location pages would not load, and places that serve mainly other food. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it.
